Why Red Fox in Cowichan Bay

We're based just 20 minutes from Cowichan Bay — serving Cowichan Bay Village, Cherry Point Road, Tzouhalem Road, Hecate Park and surrounding areas.

Cowichan Bay is one of our regular Cowichan Valley stops, and our Shawnigan Lake shop is only 20 minutes south so we're not making a special trip to get here. The waterfront location means HVAC equipment faces salt air exposure — we choose corrosion-resistant units and install them with that in mind. Many older homes in the village still run on oil or propane and qualify for substantial BC rebates when switching to a heat pump. Sun-exposed hillside properties with bay views also benefit hugely from the cooling side of a heat pump on warm summer afternoons.

We've been serving Cowichan Bay homeowners for over 35 years. Your neighbours know us. Ask around.

Common questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Q How do I know if my indoor air quality is bad?

Common signs include stuffy air, lingering odours, excessive dust, condensation on windows, and allergy symptoms that worsen indoors. We can assess your Cowichan Bay home's air quality during a free consultation.

Q What's an HRV and do I need one?

An HRV (Heat Recovery Ventilator) brings fresh outdoor air in while recovering heat from stale indoor air. They're especially useful in newer, tightly sealed Cowichan Bay homes that don't get enough natural ventilation.

Q How much do air quality upgrades cost?

Solutions range from $200 for upgraded filters to $3,000–$5,000 for a full HRV system. We'll recommend the right solution for your Cowichan Bay home and budget.
